The Bank House is a beautiful destination building, housing The Bank House Cafe, the delightful wool shop Lighthouse Yarns, and Coast & Marine and Salty Shack showroom for all things outdoors; situated at the start of the stunning Causeway Coastal Route, in the heart of the Victorian and Edwardian village, Whitehead.

Five minutes dander from the scenic coastal walk Blackhead Path, and close to the spectacular Gobbins Cliff Path, The Bank House Cafe serves locally roasted Bailies Coffee and specialist loose-leaf Tea, along with tasty lunches and sumptuous cakes and sweet treats handmade in-house and by local bakers.  The Cafe is the perfect place to unwind where you will only be served perfect coffee, by friendly welcoming staff.

While in Whitehead, you can also visit the rest of The Bank House family - Lighthouse Yarns, Coast & Marine and Salty Shack - all housed in our beautifully majestic red brick and sandstone premises, which was a former Bank and Bank House. While in the town, you can also visit the famous historical Steam Train Museum, run by The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland. To complete your visit, make sure to visit our beautiful beach and scenic coastal Blackhead Path walk, complete with one of the last Lighthouses in Northern Ireland... our scenery is truly stunning, and visiting Whitehead makes for the most wonderful family day trip. We are also just a 3 miles from the famous Gobbin's Path, and we look forward to welcoming you to our shop and cafe for a warming cup of tea and some craic!
